Marco Porello Camestri Roero Arneis

Arneis is one of Piemonte's few white grapes and here's an example that's a real gem. Grown in the appellation of Roero, this is citrusy, clean, mineral-driven stuff that derives its appeal from its food-loving acidity, and its elegant roundness in the mouth that comes from some extended contact with the grapes' skins. A perfect alternative for Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc drinkers who are looking for something a tad more unusual.
