Winzerkeller Andau St. Laurent

This inky, savory example of St. Laurent, an Austrian clone of Pinot Noir, is very reminiscent of the Mencia you see in the region of Bierzo in Spain. Displaying mineral notes of iron, tangy blackberry fruit, smoked meat, and exotic spices like anise and clove, this is very clean and lean, with noteworthy focus and precision in the mouth. A very cool wine with a lot of personality and charm.
